The searing pain you feel in your calves, breathing in and out gasping for air and the familiar abdominal cramps. It's another fun run, yet again.

Organized was the one word that really stood out in the event. Runners were divided into 4 groups: 3Kers, 6Kers, 12Kers and 21Kers to help facilitate the event's warm-up exercises and flow.

The 3K run I joined took about half an hour, with freebies after the run and Zumba , hip hop and belly dancing which I, sadly, was not able to join.

Awards from the event included finisher's medals for 21K finishers, Best in 80's Costume, Best in Nike Costume. The free make-up demonstrations and health screenings were also worth trying out.
A fund-raising campaign of the High School batch '89 of St. Theresa's College, the Run with Venus was definitely not a disappointment. With lots of incentives, awards and great organizational skills from the organizers, I look forward to next year's run.
Running with Venus,
